Description
GW 0742 – Product Information
GW 0742 is a PPARUβ/δ agonist, which is being dubbed as a ‘Super Cardarine‘.
Studies have shown GW 0742 has the ability to improve glucose homeostasis and increase insulin sensitivity in diabetic rats. In diabetic rats fed a high fructose diet, a group given GW 0742 showed lower blood sugar compared to the control group.
Due to GW 0742 being a PPAR agonist, it showed the potential in increasing fat loss by boosting metabolism and stimulating the utilization of fat for fuel.
This could potentially increase the oxidative capacity of muscles helping burn more calories.

How does GW 0742 Work?
Research has shown that GW 0742 has weak activity on multiple nuclear receptors. It has been found to antagonize androgen receptors (ARs) and vitamin D receptors (VDR). GW 0742 has also demonstrated effects on thyroid hormone receptors. [R][R]
GW 0742 Vs Cardarine
GW 0742 and Cardarine are PPAR (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) agonists.
Both of them were originally developed by Glaxo Smith Kline. Animal studies have shown that both of them may improve insulin resistance in research subjects. They are also credited for potentially stimulating fatty acid oxidation (reducing levels of fatty acids) in animals.
However, both of them have one major difference. While GW 0742 comprises two hydrogen and four fluorine atoms, Cardarine is made up of one hydrogen and three fluorine atoms. That is to say that GW 0742 is a fluorinated analog of Cardarine. [R]
PureRawz sells GW 0742 and Cardarine for laboratory research use.
GW 0742 Research
While clinical research is lacking on GW 0742, the PPAR agonist has been extensively studied in animal and cell-based studies. The latter have shown that GW 0742 may have the potential to achieve diet-induced weight loss, visceral fat reduction (burn fat), and increased insulin sensitivity in research subjects. [R]
GW 0742 and Metabolism
A study was conducted to investigate whether PPARβ/δ agonist treatment would improve the immune-metabolic changes induced by exercise in diet-induced obese mice. Results demonstrated an increase in fatty acid oxidation gene expression and AMPK activity.
These effects were associated with decreased visceral adipose tissue mass (burns fat) and skeletal muscle inflammation and increases in skeletal muscle oxidative capacities and insulin sensitivity. [R]
GW 0742 and Insulin Resistance
Insulin resistance is an abnormal condition in which your cells don’t respond as they should to insulin. Its development leads to increased insulin production in the body, which, in turn, is associated with high blood pressure, atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), and higher triglyceride levels. [R]
GW 0742 has been shown to ameliorate metabolic abnormalities, including insulin resistance in skeletal muscle in mice fed high-fructose corn syrup. However, the influence of GW 0742 on systemic insulin sensitivity has still not been elucidated. [R]
GW 0742 and Inflammation
A study was conducted to investigate the effects of GW 0742 on inflammation. It found that the PPAR agonist reduced many inflammatory and apoptotic (cell death) parameters. Taken together, the results show that GW 0742 reduces lung inflammation induced by bleomycin instillation in mice. [R]
GW 0742 and Diabetes
Data from an animal-based study shows that GW 0742 has the ability to improve glucose homeostasis (glucose uptake) in diabetic rats through the activation of PPAR-δ. Therefore, PPAR-δ is a good target for the development of anti-diabetic drugs in the future. [R]
GW 0742 and Hypertension
A 2011 study set out to investigate whether GW 0742 might exert anti-hypertensive effects in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). GW 0742 induced a progressive reduction in systolic arterial blood pressure and heart rate in SHRs. Based on the results, the researchers proposed PPARβ as a new therapeutic target in hypertension. [R]
GW 0742 FAQs
Is GW 0742 legal?
GW 0742 is legal to buy and sell as a research chemical. This designation restricts the use of this compound for scientific and research purposes only.
Does GW 0742 suppress natural testosterone?
In any of the studies conducted on GW 0742 to date, there isn’t any mention of fat loss. More studies are thus needed to verify or refute this assertion.
Does GW 0742 suppress glucose metabolism?
Data obtained from animal studies have shown that GW 0742 has the potential ability to improve glucose homeostasis in diabetic rats through the activation of PPAR-δ.
